Alina Ferguson is a third generation Clark County, WA resident and the “Chief Wine Dork” here. Known for her down-to-earth approach to wine, she has featured wines from areas around the world without coming off as pretentious or snobbish. She has traveled to some of the most notable wine regions on the west coast of North America, but is proud to call Clark County Wine Country her home. She is a wine contributor to the sites Our Community Table and Simply Smart Dinner Plans, and is a wine expert for the mobile wine app Delectable. When she’s not out discovering new wineries and regions, she is either near water with her camera in hand or hunkered down on her couch with a glass of wine and a marathon of her favorite TV shows. Alina is also an avid sports fan, with NASCAR being her primary sport. She can be found rooting for local NASCAR drivers Kasey Kahne and Greg Biffle, along with the reigning Most Popular Driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr. She is also a fan of the Seahawks, Mariners, Washington State Cougars and Portland State Vikings.
Alina holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with emphases in Biological, Developmental and Social Psychology and a minor in Business Administration from Washington State University. She is a proponent of continuing education and has taken additional coursework in Marketing and Advertising, Counseling, Criminal Justice and Hospitality Business Management at Portland State University and Washington State University Vancouver to supplement her degree.
